What's the buzz? Bee City USA! 🐝

Last year, the Town of Avon proudly joined Bee City USA, committing to support and grow our pollinator population. This year, we’re excited to take that commitment even further by creating our very own honey bee habitat!
With the help of our Maintenance Manager—who also happens to be a former beekeeper—our team established the Avon Honey Bee Habitat along the White Lick Trail. This perfect little slice of nature heaven offers everything bees need to thrive: existing fruit trees, a nearby water source, and plenty of beautiful blooms. (plus a few extras we planted to sweeten deal 😉)

Next time you’re out enjoying the trail, be sure to stop by and take a look! Just remember to admire these busy pollinators from a distance.

We have two available garden plots at the Avon Community Garden that are ready for a new home!

One of the plots has already been started and includes:
🌽 Corn
🍅 Tomatoes
🌿 Basil
🥒 Cucumbers

If you've been thinking about growing your own produce, this is a great opportunity to get involved with our community garden. Best of all, these plots are available free of charge to interested gardeners.

What a sweet start to the 2026 Avon Farmers Market season! 🍓🍰

Opening Day brought the community together for our annual Strawberry Shortcake Festival, featuring delicious treats, local vendors, fresh produce, family fun, and plenty of smiles. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the first market of the season such a success!

The Avon Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the south parking lot of the Hendricks Regional Health building on US 36, just east of Dan Jones Road in Avon, Indiana.
