Stay safe during winter weather. With temperatures dropping significantly, it's important to take prepare to stay safe and comfortable. Below are essential tips to help you navigate these conditions.
- Limit time outdoors
- If you must go outside, dress in layers, including a moisture-wicking base layer, an insulating middle layer, and a waterproof outer layer. Don't forget a hat and gloves.
- Keep an extra eye on pets, and limit their time in the cold.
- Check in on neighbors. The elderly, children, and those with medical conditions are more vulnerable to extreme cold.

The Anchor Recreation Facility, 33483 Lake Road, will be open Monday and Tuesday, January 20th and 21st, from 8:00am to 10:00pm. This facility can be used as a temporary warming shelter for anyone in need of relief from the cold. Please feel free to stop in for a safe and warm place during this extreme cold weather.
