🚒 Training Night at the Firehouse 🚒
Tonight, our members participated in hands-on training with our new firefighter bailout systems, an essential piece of life-saving equipment designed for emergency escape situations.
A bailout system provides firefighters with a rapid means of exiting a structure from an upper floor when normal escape routes are cut off and conditions become life-threatening. These systems include a harness, anchor device, descent control device, and escape rope, allowing firefighters to safely lower themselves to the ground when every second counts. Simply put, a bailout system serves as a firefighter's emergency lifeline when survival depends on a quick escape.
As part of our Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) award last year, our members were outfitted with state-of-the-art PFAS-free Ricochet Gear . Along with this new gear, each firefighter received a personal bailout kit, enhancing both safety and preparedness on the fireground.
Training with this equipment is just as important as having it. We are committed to ensuring our firefighters are proficient and confident in using these systems should the need ever arise.

His knowledge and dedication helped make this training a valuable experience for everyone involved.
