Established in 1935, by W.I. Curry, and Dr. Fred Schudy, the Ava Area Chamber of Commerce was organized to promote local businesses, tourism, and industry, and to further community growth and development. Over eighty years later, the Chamber and its Board of Directors proudly continue in this endeavor. Over the years, the Chamber has experienced steady growth in memberships and community support t

hrough the partnership of local businesses, individuals, and organizations. With new members continuing to join, the Ava Chamber now has 215 members, the largest membership roster to date! The Chamber accomplishes much for Ava and Douglas County through the active participation and support of its members and through the financial partnership of the City of Ava. May we, as citizens, continue to support our local businesses who are the cornerstone of our community’s economic stability, by shopping in Ava whenever possible.
