This week in September is devoted to our Direct Support Professionals, and at MCBDD we know the people we serve could not survive without them. This week and for the rest of the month, we will highlight some of the DSPs who have made a meaningful difference. They have been nominated for this recognition by their employers so that we can shine a light on their dedication, compassion, creativity, and everyday contributions. Thank you, DSPs.

The huge sunflowers returned to the MCBDD parking lot this summer, no planting or prompting -- they just VOLUNTEERED!
So now is a good time to thank all those who volunteered at our booth at the Canfield Fair. We had to cover 10 hours/day for 6 days of the fair, plus a few days of cleaning and decorating/ undecorating on each end. The Fair is one of the biggest events for community engagement in northeast Ohio and it is right here in our county, so it is very important that we are there. Our volunteers make it easy for us to show our best face to the community -- like the the sunflowers! Thanks everyone!☀️🌻💛

Lots going on at the fair, but make time to stop at the Medical Building #49. Much info and freebies there. MCBDD’s booth features patriotic artwork by our individuals. You can vote on your favorite pieces! And chat with our volunteers. We ❤️ to see our friends out there! 🐓🌽🍅

There are so many good stories at MCBDD because our staff and providers work together to do amazing things for our people with disabilities. Thanks to WKBN for spotlighting Jacob and a new opportunity at Turning Point.

No Limits Bakery and Cafe in Poland is scheduled to host a grand opening for its new emporium featuring local vendors and providing job opportunities for individuals with special needs.
