One year ago today. 🤍

We cut this ribbon and officially opened Wonder Village.

We knew what we hoped this place could become, but we had absolutely no idea who would walk through these doors with us.

A year later, so many of you aren’t strangers anymore.

We know your little ones. We recognize the cars pulling into the parking lot. 😂 We’ve watched babies become toddlers, celebrated birthdays with you, watched friendships form, welcomed you into classes, and gotten to be part of your ordinary Tuesdays just as much as your really big days.

And today, on our first birthday, the Village isn’t stopping for some huge celebration.

There are classes happening. There are little ones coming to play. There are grown-ups meeting up. There will probably be toys everywhere.

And there’s cake. 🎂

Which feels like a pretty perfect way to turn one.

Thank you for making Wonder Village something we never could have built by ourselves.

Tomorrow, Wonder Village turns one. 🤍

A year ago, we opened the doors hoping this could become more than a place to play.

We wanted to build a place where little ones could learn, explore and belong.

Where grown-ups mattered, too.

Where families could find their people.

And where community could actually feel like community.

We hadn’t met most of you yet.

But we were building it for you anyway.

One year later, there are familiar little faces running through the doors. Friendships that started here. Birthdays celebrated here. Classes growing here. Families who have made Wonder Village part of their ordinary weeks.

Tomorrow, we get to celebrate one whole year of that.

Our new year of Skill Builders begins, the Village will be open for play, and because apparently you can’t turn one without cake… we bought a big one. 😂🎂

One of our favorite things about Wonder Village birthdays is seeing what families turn this space into. 🤍

We’ve had princesses and construction trucks. Candyland and favorite characters. Balloons everywhere and parties where families kept things beautifully simple.

And that’s exactly how we want it.

We give you the space. You make it feel like your little person.

Bring the decorations. Pick the theme. Go all out if that’s your thing, or keep it simple and let the Village do most of the work.

There isn’t a Wonder Village birthday “look” you have to recreate.

There’s just a room full of your people, a Village full of little ones playing, and one very important person getting celebrated. 🤍

There’s something really nice about having a place you don’t have to think twice about going. 🤍

When you’re a Wonder Village member, the Village can just become part of your week.

Come for an hour before lunch. Stay all morning. Or come because everybody needed to get out of the house and you had absolutely no interest in coming up with an elaborate plan. 😂

Your little one gets to walk in, find what interests them and get busy playing.

And you get an outing that doesn’t require a whole lot from you.

That’s one of our favorite things about membership.

It’s not really about coming as often as you possibly can.

It’s about knowing you can. 🤍

Well.. THAT escalated quickly. 🤯

Our first Boo at the Village session sold out in just 14 hours!

So we’re opening a SECOND + FINAL session for families who missed out. Same Halloween fun, same experience, one more chance to join us. 🤍

Think costumes, trick-or-treating through the Play Village, a festive Halloween activity, and time to stop and play wherever their imagination takes them. With you there to enjoy it, too.

Each participating child needs their own ticket. Up to two adults may attend per child. Siblings 12 months and younger may attend free with a ticketed sibling, but need their own ticket to receive treats and craft supplies.

Costumes are encouraged. Socks are required for children and adults.

Tickets are LIVE at the link in our bio! This is our final session for Boo at the Village 2026.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no regular Open Play hours on October 10. An event ticket is required to attend Boo at the Village.

Halloween doesn’t have to be big, loud, or packed with activities to feel magical.

Sometimes little ones just want to wear the costume they’ve been waiting to wear, collect a few treats, stop and play when they want to, and have their grown-up enjoy it right alongside them. 🤍

That’s Boo at the Village.

This year, we’re keeping it intentionally simple: not-so-spooky trick-or-treating through the Play Village, a festive Halloween activity, and plenty of time to enjoy the Village in costume.

If your little one is joining Preschool Prep & Play or Confident Learners this year, there’s someone we want you to meet. 🤍

This is Miss Jody.

She’ll be leading both of these programs this year, and one of the things we love about her approach is that she pays attention to the child in front of her.

Some children jump right in. Some need to watch first. Some are ready to do everything themselves, and some need a little more time before they’re comfortable trying.

There isn’t one version of “ready” that every little person has to fit into.

Our goal isn’t to rush little kids into being bigger. It’s to give them opportunities to become a little more confident, a little more independent and a little more capable as they’re ready.

And we’re so excited to have Miss Jody beside them while they do it. 🤍

Preschool Prep & Play and Confident Learners begin next week, and there’s still a little room for a few more little ones to join us.

We don’t actually know what she’s building here. And that’s kind of the point. 🤍

Maybe it’s a house. Maybe it’s a zoo. Maybe it’s something with an entire backstory that only she understands.

We don’t need to know.

When children are given materials without one “right” way to use them, they get to decide what happens next.

They have the idea. They make the plan. They figure out what works. They change their minds. They try again.

It looks like play.

But underneath it, there’s problem solving, creativity, independence and persistence happening all at once.

Sometimes we’re so eager to show children what to do that we forget how much they can figure out when we don’t.

Give them the materials.

Give them the time.

And then give them a little room to surprise you. 🤍

This text came through this morning after a birthday at Wonder Village yesterday. 🤍

And we think she put into words one of our favorite things about birthdays here.

The kids got to run around and play. The grown-ups got to sit, visit and actually enjoy each other.

That’s the whole point.

The birthday is for the little one.. but the grown-ups are part of the celebration too. 🤍

Thank you to every family who trusts us with these days. We really, really love getting to be part of them.

Never been to Open Play before? It’s really pretty simple. 🤍

You come in, kick off your shoes and let your little one explore.

There’s no schedule and nothing you have to do while you’re here. Some kids make their rounds through the whole Village and some find one thing they love and stay there forever. 😂

You can play right alongside them or hang back a little and let them do their thing.

That’s really it.

Just an easy place to get out of the house, let them play and spend some time together. 🤍
