As we close February and Parent Leadership Month, we take time to recognize something parents have always known - parents are leaders, advocates, and experts in their families and communities. 💙

This month, the Healthy Families America Parent Advisory Committee held a special evening of connection with Cindy Seenath, national speaker and Nurse-Family Partnership Parent Champion, to share powerful testimony on the impact of parent voice and lived experience.

This conversation reinforced the impact of parent leadership in strengthening systems and creating lasting, meaningful change.

Want to be a voice in the room? HFA Parent Advisory Committee is recruiting new members, with a commitment to broadening representation. Applications open through March 27, 2026!

Maternal Health Awareness Day is about supporting mothers through pregnancy and beyond with the care they deserve. Medical care is vital, and so is the ongoing, relationship-based support that helps protect maternal mental health and strengthen families during vulnerable periods.

Healthy Families America brings trusted, relationship-based support into homes, walking alongside parents with care and consistency. Through home visiting, families receive support around maternal mental health, connections to resources, and opportunities to build strong, nurturing parent-child relationships.

Today, we honor mothers, lift up their strength, and share solutions that create safety, stability, and well-being for families from the very beginning.

As we approach the holidays, Austin Diaper Bank knows that many families are struggling right now. This time of year can be difficult for many, and for all sorts of reasons.

If you need help with diapers, here are a few agencies serving families this week. Distributions of items are all based on their inventory and availability.

You can read about more agencies providing families with diapers at www.austindiapers.org/get-help or www.211texas.org to find help with other basic needs. You can also click the link in our bio.
