Did you know that alternate compliance options are available for certain Texas CME requirements?

Physicians: If you are meeting the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) requirements established by an ABMS member board or the Osteopathic Continuous Certification (OCC) requirements established by the AOA, you may be eligible to satisfy certain CME requirements through your participation in those programs.

Physician Assistants: If you are maintaining current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), you may be eligible to satisfy the formal and informal biennial CME requirements through your certification maintenance.

Please note: These alternate compliance options do not exempt licensees from all CME requirements. Additional CME requirements may still apply.

Learn more by visiting the Continuing Education Requirements page on the Texas Medical Board website and reviewing the applicable CME Hours Requirement Chart for your license type.
