The 36ID Band is the perfect 'in-between' for those who want to do a career outside of being a musician while still keeping music in their lives. Our unit trains once a month and two weeks a year performing in dozens of opportunities around the state.

One of the best parts of serving in the 36th Infantry Division Band is that you’re never done learning.

During our Conducting Symposium, musicians who don’t normally conduct had the opportunity to lead the ensemble and receive feedback from experienced conductors. It takes a lot of courage to step onto the podium, and we’re proud of everyone who accepted the challenge.

Even if our soldiers aren’t in the music field as a civilian, opportunities like these still help us grow in and out of uniform.

From performing timpani with the concert band to laying down the groove with the rock band, you'll have the opportunity to perform a wide variety of music while representing the Texas Army National Guard across the state.
