Austin City Auditor The City Auditor is to provide audit and investigative services for the City of Austin Corrie Stokes is currently the City Auditor for the City of Austin.

The Austin City Charter created the Office of the City Auditor to assist the Austin City Council, citizens, and City management in establishing accountability, transparency, and a culture of continuous improvement in City operations and service delivery. To achieve this mission, we conduct performance audits, complete special projects, and investigate reports of fraud, waste, or abuse. By remainin

g free of any influences, we are able to provide objective and credible information to the City Council, the citizens, and City management. Our office provides regular reports and briefings to the City Council through the Audit and Finance Committee. She was appointed by City Council in May 2015.

We’re proud to launch the Efficiency Initiatives Dashboard, a public tool we created to provide residents, Council, and City leadership with a clear view of how the City is responsibly using your tax dollars.

This dashboard highlights initiatives that are delivering—or are expected to deliver—financial savings, enhanced service quality, or improved operations within the City. The dashboard will continue to grow as departments submit more initiatives over time.
