As we have posted many times before, our Calendar is full of exciting political activities. We are going to start highlighting some of these activities. Today, we are highlighting a webcast from the Reagan Library.

As you all know, VDTX has a calendar section. The calendar has often been used to view Texas Legislative Receptions, Fundraisers, Events and Committee Hearings.

Most recently, we have worked to add Conferences and Events of nationwide organizations. We have added NCSL, ALEC, RSLC and DLCC events. Please take a look and if we missed a Conference or event, add it or let us know and we will add it.

Don't forget NCSL has a Webinar today at noon re: "Voter Registration: the bipartisan trend in elections."

More events have been added to VDTX. Seems it is a busy time of year!

Remember, any member of VDTX can add events to the calendars and get updates on all event. Simply join the public groups in which you are interested in receiving updates. For instance, if you join the House of Representatives Public Group, you may add events to that group and you receive automatic updates when events are added to this group. You will also see a quick view of ALL upcoming events in groups you have joined to the right when you are signed in!

Fundraisers, Receptions, Committee hearings and golf tournaments are just some of the events you will find on our calendars! Add events yourself, if you are a member. Or, just let us know and we can add them!

Capitol Staffers: you recently received an email discussing our forums. The Virtual Dome Texas Forums are a great place to discuss all things happening at the Capitol. When you fill out your registration information, you will select a forum name. That name doesn't tie to your user name or page. So, take a moment to chat in the public forums and discuss your thoughts on what is happening in and around the Dome.

Capitol staff, if you were not registered, you should have received an email today with your registration information. Therefore, all staff should have an account. Take a moment to update your profile information and to browse around. If you have any questions, just contact us.

Capitol folks...if you are not signed up, you will be receiving an email with your new account information. We are sending an account to all capitol staffers in the coming week. All you have to do is log on. Make sure you update your profile and you change your password.

Don't forget, if you want notifications on Virtual Dome, please join the groups for which you wish to receive notifications. There is a group for all committees in the House and Senate. Once you join, you will receive notifications when activities are added to the calendar.

Since each committee will now have their own group, allowing members to receive notifications and to chat within a group relating to only that Committee, the House and Senate Groups will contain information and discussion on floor calendars.
