Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women of our United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

Travis County Sheriffs Law Enforcement Association (TCSLEA) proudly stands in remembrance of our fallen heroes and in support of the families who carry their legacy forward each day.

This Memorial Day, may we all take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything to protect them.

We remember. We honor. We thank you. 🇺🇸

Officer Deon Joseph shared a personal moment after crossing paths with his son while both were on duty as police officers. According to Joseph, the unexpected meeting happened during a regular workday while they were each working their own assignments. He later posted a photo of the moment online along with a caption reflecting on the experience of seeing his son serving in the same profession. Joseph wrote that despite both wearing uniforms and badges, he would always see him as his son first. The post quickly attracted attention online as people responded to the father-and-son moment connected to law enforcement service. A routine work shift later turned into a widely shared family moment between two police officers from the same family.

During National Police Week, May 10–16, would like to recognize and thank all of the hardworking patrol deputies with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office for the dedication, sacrifice, and service they provide to our community each and every day.

TCSLEA Board members had the opportunity to meet with Days West Patrol to show our appreciation and treat the deputies to breakfast before the start of their shift.

We also want to thank Dispatch for stopping by and providing thoughtful gift bags to our officers as another show of support and appreciation.

Thank you to all of our law enforcement professionals for everything you do to keep our community safe. Your hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed.
