TRWA’s Rene Abrego passed away Saturday from medical complications.

Rene had only been with the association for a few months, working as our Water Quality Action Specialist through the USDA-Decentralized Wastewater program. He loved having the opportunity to visit with multiple rural systems to talk about wastewater, picking up and helping solve a variety of different problems to help people across Texas. We are deeply saddened to have lost him.
