GIVE US YOUR FEEDBACK!

The Governor’s "Office of Government Efficiency" has tasked the Texas Commission on Fire Protection with reviewing and simplifying its administrative rules to make them easier to understand and use. This initiative provides an opportunity to reduce confusion, eliminate redundancies, and update outdated language in our rules so we can better serve the Texas fire service.

On Tuesday, September 8 we are hosting a virtual information session which will be hosted by Agency Chief Mike Wisko. Starting at 10am, Mike will give:

✅an overview of this initiative,
✅an explanation of the rule review process, and
✅an opportunity for participants to ask questions!

Most importantly, we are seeking your input and feedback to help guide the best path forward as we undertake this important work.

Please register to attend this virtual Teams meeting at the link provided below. Note: you must have your video camera turned on if you would like to speak during the meeting.

The TCFP currently has a minimum of four compliance staff members working in the TFS EOC assisting with resource tracking at the Ross fire, as well as 2 members at the incident command post in Palo Pinto county who are inspecting equipment as it checks in to ensure safety checks are in place.

We are working closely with local, state, out of state, and federal resources on this large scale incident. The weather conditions continue to be a challenge for everyone working in the heat.

Here are some photos they've shared with us.
