UT Tyler is raising the bar in healthcare training with its new Helicopter Critical Care Transport Simulation Center — the only program of its kind in the country training both nurses and paramedics, and just the second medical flight program nationwide with a clinical flight simulator.

Three THOT member institutions have received new state grants to help grow Texas' forensic psychiatry workforce. UT Health Science Center at Tyler, UTMB Galveston, and UT Southwestern will each receive $555,555 to develop or expand fellowship programs that prepare physicians for this critical specialty.
These investments matter. They strengthen access to behavioral health services, support patients involved in legal proceedings, and help Texas build the specialty workforce a growing state needs.
