🌧️ Travis County is STILL under a Flood Watch! The National Weather Service is forecasting potentially severe flooding after you go to bed tonight into Wednesday (7/15).

✅ Do you live near a creek, stream, or river? Know how you’ll get to higher ground and be ready to leave quickly.

✅ Do you have to use low-water crossings or flood-prone roads? Plan an alternate route and check ATXfloods.com before leaving.

✅ Keep your phone charged, volume up, and Wireless Emergency Alerts enabled. Have multiple ways to receive warnings.

✅ Keep shoes, keys, medications, and essential items nearby in case you need to leave quickly.

✅ Bring pets inside and have an evacuation plan for everyone in your family.

✅ Never drive around barricades or through flooded roads. Turn around, don’t drown!

🚨Travis County Judge Andy Brown has signed a local disaster declaration in the event of severe flooding.

This allows Travis County to proactively prepare and enhance coordination of resources, services, and communication with state and federal emergency partners.

Flood Watch is in effect for parts of the Hill Country, I-35 corridor, southern Edwards Plateau, and Rio Grande Plains from 9 PM this evening through Thursday evening. There is the potential for life threatening flooding somewhere in the watch area. Storm totals of 2 to 6 inches are possible over the Flood Watch area with isolated 10 inches. Stay weather aware!

Who wants to go fishing? 🐟

We caught up with Texas Parks and Wildlife to learn about the Neighborhood Fishin’ program at East Metro Park in Manor.

During the warmer months, two ponds are stocked with catfish you can catch, keep, and eat! In the winter, the ponds are stocked with rainbow trout.
