Rooster Springs Elementary School

Rooster Springs Elementary School Rooster Springs Elementary (RSE), DSISD's first neighborhood school, is home to students in Pre-K through 5th grade.

The RSE faculty and staff are committed to providing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all children and strive to equip students to become life-long learners. The school's success is the product of a strong home-school connection that supports the belief of doing whatever it takes to ensure the educational growth of all students.

Celebrating the Senior Class of 2026 alongside the future Senior Class of 2033 from Rooster Springs Elementary School! As the seniors walked hand-in-hand with the 5th graders, they inspired the next generation to dream big, work hard, and look ahead to all the possibilities waiting for them. Mrs. Hill's Kindergarten
Mrs. Hutson's 1st Grade
Mrs. Cagle's 2nd Grade
Mr. Matthyssen's 3rd Grade
Mrs. Laws's 4th Grade

These classes earned the most house points this year by filling their brag boards and earning rainbows for great behavior at lunch. We are so proud of all of you and we can't wait to spot those yard signs around the neighborhood this summer!

Get your tissues ready! Watch until the end! This morning, our 5th graders had their last parachute experience as elementary students.

As you may know, all Rooster seniors come back and do the parachute again with Coach D on the last day of school! We love this tradition 🪂💛!
