Davy Crockett made a famous remark to his political opponents when they defeated him in a bid for the U.S. Congress: "You may all go to hell. I'm going to Texas." It seems that many young adults are now following his lead.

🙏🏼 Please pray for the Panhandle…this is horrifying. God please be with these communities, the firefighters and all those effected by this catastrophic fire.

I’m certain that the best attribute of the Texas Longhorn is that women love their babies! ❤️

Happy birthday, Stephen Fuller Austin! Although known as the Father of Texas, the young Stephen spent much of his time in other places: born in Virginia in 1793, moved to Missouri as a child, and then went to school in Connecticut, where this portrait was created when he was 12. Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana all hosted the young Austin before he came to Texas in 1821.
