Congratulations to Westlake High School junior Rhea Ghosal on receiving national recognition from the Mathematical Association of America as one of the top 12 high school girls in the country for her performance on the AMC 12B mathematics competition.

Rhea earned the prestigious Jane Street AMC 12 Award and was the only student from Texas to receive this honor. With more than 20,000 students participating in the AMC 12 nationwide, this recognition highlights exceptional mathematical problem-solving at the national level.

In the official MAA announcement, Rhea shared how competitive mathematics helped her find a community of students who share her curiosity and passion for learning.

We are incredibly proud of Rhea and grateful for the support of our math educators and the Westlake High School Mu Alpha Theta Club, which helps foster a strong environment for students pursuing advanced mathematics opportunities. 💙❤️
