Yesterday, we had the opportunity to meet with Shirley Temple, Program Manager for International Business, and Jacqueline Walker, Senior International Business Representative, at the Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office, Office of Governor Greg Abbott, to present the Picasso Initiative we are developing in Round Rock, Texas.

We shared our vision for creating a long-term platform that connects art, STEAM education, international collaboration, cultural tourism, and economic development — building new bridges between Texas and Málaga, Spain, the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.

The conversation was especially relevant as our initiative aligns closely with the vision outlined in Texas’ “Bigger. Better. Texas.” Economic Development Strategic Plan, where Hospitality, Tourism & Culture is recognized as an important target sector for the continued growth and global competitiveness of Texas.

Our goal in Round Rock goes far beyond bringing an exhibition to the community. We are building an ecosystem that can connect:

🌎 International Collaboration and Cultural Tourism

🏙️ Community Development and Economic Impact

Through the Picasso Initiative, thousands of students and educators are already becoming part of a larger vision in which creativity becomes a catalyst for innovation, tourism, education, and international engagement.

We sincerely appreciate Shirley and Jacqueline for their time, interest, and valuable conversation, and we look forward to continuing the dialogue about how this initiative can contribute to the economic development and tourism objectives of Texas.
