Photo icon: Educator Tracey Cortez started the Women Who Weld Project at Navarro Early College High School. This innovative program focuses primarily on welding, but many of the skills taught are transferable to other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. Ms. Cortez’s Women Who Weld class allows students to explore and pursue skilled trade careers.

Thanks to the Austin ISD staff who submitted 103 proposals for Austin Ed Fund's Grant! Applications will be reviewed by a collaborative team of staff, teachers, community and board members. Applicants will be notified by the first week of August. Stay tuned!
