The team won at both the Regional and State levels in the Destination Imagination competition and qualified for the Global Finals held in Kansas City from May 21–24.

Reading isn't just for Language Arts class—students use reading skills in every subject!

For example, here's a 2nd-grade math word problem:

🔢 They had 40 boxes of cereal in storage and received 47 more boxes last month. How many boxes of cereal are there?

To solve this problem, students must first read and understand the question. That's why reading every day is so important!

Most local public libraries offer FREE summer reading programs with fun activities, challenges, and rewards for students who participate. Encourage your child to keep learning and growing all summer long by joining a library reading program.
