Although my supporters were disappointed in the special election’s outcome, I believe everything will be as it should. I extend an olive branch and sincere congratulations to Chito Vela for his victory as District 4’s newest City Council Member! We’ve already been in contact and I am excited to work together for the betterment of District 4! Stay tuned. I intend to continue the community strengthening and ensuring our voices are heard at City Hall in a meaningful way. We’re better together. A special thank you to my wonderful campaign team, family, friends and volunteers who made this journey possible. It was a fun, exciting and full of learning experience. Wow.

A beautiful exciting journey was just the beginning. With limited resources and all odds stacked against the underdogs, we built momentum and blasted thru the adversity. The focus remains, District 4 deserves more. United we will be, beginning with candidate collaboration and established support from our new D4 rep. Let the real work begin! Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I am Jade Lovera and I am courageously running for City Council District 4 in the current to fill Greg Casar's vacating seat.

I am running to bring the community's voice to the decision making table at City Hall because I experienced first hand how difficult it is for the average resident to navigate the city system to be heard let alone considered in the decisions at City Hall. I am a born and raised Austinite and have lived in District 4 my entire life - the future of Austin is extremely important. I am not interested in a political career, I am interested in representing the residents of Austin and District 4. My priorities are affordability, public safety, community engagement and transparency at City Hall.

With the unusual timing of this special election and given that this is the only seat on the ballot, voter turnout is expected to be very low. Every vote truly matters.

District 4 deserves more! We need to invest in our infrastructure, flooding & watershed, public safety and civic services, green spaces and environment for the health and prosperity of our community.

Yes, we need more housing, but it must be considerate and smart. We need to review and consider the long term effects of development and stop mass approving simply based on the immediate 'gain'. Displacement, roads and traffic needs, flooding mitigation, environmental factors and heat mapping, current community needs and true affordability etc must be considered.

Our future depends on it. Let's make the right choices now so we don't have to make up for it later.

I have been a one-woman show thru this campaign against an experienced politician with $80k+ an army of volunteers and backed by high funded developers and special interest... With NO interest in the people or community in district 4. And who is just using this D4 council seat as a stepping stone to climb his political career.

There's a lot at stake -
∆ for my competitor, it is a ton of money and he will be indebted to the corporations taking over our city. He will answer to the developers not the people
∆ for me & US, the people who live here as working class, it's the loss of our homes from being displaced and gentrified, it's the family values we have being dismissed and unheard, it's continuing to be ignored by the city and not have our neighborhoods and roads and services invested in. I will answer to the people. I pledge to listen to the community and not rubber stamp decisions. I'm a public servant, not a politician.

We're looking at less than 5% maybe that will vote, about 2000 votes total. EVERY single VOTE MATTERS!!! Please call your people to vote. Our future, their future & Austin's future depends on it!!
