Big news for Travis County! 🎉 I'm proud to share a new commitment of over $17 million to support our kids and the providers who help them thrive. This morning, the Commissioners Court approved $12.75 million in contracts with 11 out-of-school-time providers, serving youth ages 4 through high school graduation.

Together, these investments will bring high-quality afterschool and summer programming to more than 5,100 kids across Travis County. Investing in our kids means investing in our future.

Did you know millions of birds pass over Central Texas each night during peak migration? I recently had the chance to spot more than 30 species at Webberville Park with the Audubon Society! It was an awesome experience and reminder to explore the outdoors in our own backyard!

Travis County, remember to turn off your porch lights during spring nights to help keep these migrating birds safe.
