Thanks for Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine for giving a shout out and some exposure to two of Texas' lesser-known quail species! Collectively, these projects represent more than 5 years of research to understand what factors are driving quail declines in Texas and beyond. Enjoy!

TPWD and collaborators are working to study and support these treasured wild birds.

Curious about grasslands? And how much we've lost? Our friends at America's Grasslands Coalition created some great maps to help us visualize the change. While the past may be written, we're working with our many partners to reverse this trend and make Texas a better, more sustainable place for future generations!

"Whoever you are and whatever you do, there is a space for you in agriculture."

The grasslands are graying. The average American rancher is 59 year...
