Travis County Democratic Party The official account of the TCDP in Greater Austin Texas. Luke Warford, Chair. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

The mission of the Travis County Democratic Party is to elect Democrats to support the entire Democratic ticket each general election cycle. The TCDP works hard to turn out base Democratic voters in Travis County, increasing the overall Democratic voter turn out for the state of Texas while maintaining a Democratic stronghold in Travis County. The TCDP works with all interested Democratic candidates to encourage voters to β€œVote Straight Democratic” by running one of the largest and most successful coordinated campaign efforts each general election cycle. The TCDP is supported entirely by donations made directly to the party and does not receive any funds from the national or state Democratic party.

Election Day is coming, and we’re about to pull out all the stops with a Weekend of Action!

Join TCDP for our biggest weekend yet to get out the vote. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s going on:

Get your costume on and join Montserrat Garibay, candidate for Texas House District 49, to talk with Austin neighbors and get out the vote before Election Day. Bring water, comfy shoes, a snack, and your ghoulfriend to help out!

Join State Rep. Donna Howard at KESOS Tacos to grab tacos before hitting the streets this weekend for the final push to get out the vote! It’s a perfect opportunity to support local businesses and to get the vote out!

That’s not all, we’ve got block walks planned all over Travis County to reach as many voters as possible before Tuesday!

To join the weekend of action, sign up at: tinyurl.com/TCDPWeekendOfAction

If you can’t make it out for the Weekend of Action, you can still call Travis County voters with us every single day (including Election Day!) from home to remind them to make a plan, bring a friend with them to the polls, and to vote blue from the top to the bottom.

We are heartbroken by the passing of Dolores Huerta, a trailblazing labor leader, civil rights activist, and tireless champion for working people, who died today at the age of 96.

For nearly 70 years, Dolores Huerta fought tirelessly for the rights and dignity of working people and immigrants. As a co-founder of the United Farm Workers, she helped secure better wages and working conditions for farmworkers and championed landmark immigration reforms that provided a pathway to legal status for millions.

Dolores Huerta leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of organizing, solidarity, and unwavering commitment to justice. We honor her life not only by remembering what she accomplished, but by continuing the fight for the working people and immigrant communities she dedicated her life to serving.

More than 40,000 Travis County voters showed up on the first day of Early Voting!

That’s the highest first-day turnout for a midterm election in Travis County this century, nearly matching the first day of the 2024 presidential election.

The energy is real, and we have an opportunity to make history this November. But we can’t let up now.

We’re in the final stretch, and we need everyone doing what they can to help get out the vote. Whether that’s knocking on doors, making calls, or greeting voters at the polls, there’s a way for everyone to make a difference.

Find an opportunity to get involved at: mobilize.us/traviscountydems

We’re going to leave it all on the field between now and Election Day. Texans are ready for something better, and together, we can make it happen.
