Bill Welch for Austin City Council

Bill Welch for Austin City Council I'm running for Austin City Council because I'm fed up, angry, and disgusted by the ineffective and harmful polices enacted by our current city leadership.

We deserve better leaders who will focus on the needs and desires of our constituent citizens and taxpayers instead of forcing
ineffective, idealistic, and damaging agendas upon us. I offer a lifetime of experience as a senior military leader, business executive, and entrepreneur. I’m a pragmatic problem solver with realistic solutions for real problems. I served previously in
elected office as

Vice President and member of the board of the Barton Springs Edward Aquifer Conservation District. I'm a retired veteran who served with the USAF for 38 years beginning my career at the lowest enlisted rank and ending with retirement as a general officer. I have served as CEO of several Austin based companies, and I’m the founder of eight successful business enterprises. I have the time, experience, and desire to serve on our city council and pledge to do all I can to provide YOU with a safer community, better transportation options, more and better roads, cleaner and more plentiful water and electricity, more affordable options for housing and
business startups. And I’m committed to the restoration, preservation, and enhancement of Austin’s famous quality of life. You’ll be hearing more from me on these and other important issues as this campaign progresses. In addition to personal engagements throughout the district, I will post a series of video vignettes on my campaign Facebook and Instagram (GeneralWelchforATX), and Twitter
().

Have a glorious Wednesday before Christmas ! It's not your average Wednesday. Remember to be kind...not only in your actions, but also in your driving. I have been getting several reports of not so nice drivers out and about in ATX.

Today, on this the 81st anniversary of the attack upon the United States at Pearl Harbor, we honor the memories of the 2,403 American lives which were lost that fateful day. We honor their selfless sacrifice and their service to their country. We will never forget. We will always remember. We will always remain vigilant so we can always be free!

The leaves are really starting to change now that we've had a cold snap. Get out and enjoy the sites and sounds of our beautiful city while the leaves are changing. Walk with your friends, family and four legged fur babies! It's a great time of year to enjoy the great outdoors!!

I’ve been asked many times… Will I vote in the runoff, and if yes, who will I vote for?

Yes… I always vote!
I’ll vote for Kirk Watson for Mayor and Stephanie Bazan for District 5 council.
