Partnerships for Children Partnerships for Children (PFC) is dedicated to helping Child Protective Services (CPS) caseworkers

As a nonprofit in Central Texas, Partnerships For Children leads a collection of programs that offer resources, support and comfort for foster children and families in our community. Our accessibility to Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, efficient practices and ability to connect with kids at all stages in their lives allow us to better serve those who need us most by providing real and impactful solutions.

Meet My Family’s Farm, a central Texas family opening their home and hearts to young people who have aged out of foster care.

Kendall and Kelly Montgomery felt called to create a space for young adults who don’t have a permanent family to find a place where they belong. As Kendall Montgomery says, the hope is to be “a place to call home and a people to call family forever.” 🏡

At My Family’s Farm, The Montgomery’s are planning to create 10 tiny homes on their property, forming a community where young people can create meaningful memories and know that they always have somewhere, and someone, to come home to.

❤️ Thanks to My Family’s Farm for opening up to the Forever Families team! To learn more about My Family’s Farm, visit their website: https://www.myfamilysfarm.org/

Meet Devon, a 14-year-old who just started his freshman year of high school!

Devon's favorite class is his cooking class. He says when he's having a tough day, he enjoys cooking to find calm and peace. Devon is looking forward to getting all of his credits, making good grades, and staying out of negativity this school year!

Devon's positive outlook helps him hold on to the hope of finding an adoptive family before he graduates high school. Devon's biggest wish is to have the freedom of any normal kid with a loving family.

Congratulations to 21-year-old Alizeah and her parents! ❤️ Alizeah was featured on Forever Families in 2017, sharing her story and her hope of finding a permanent, loving home. Her story reached the people who would become her parents!

Alizeah’s story is one of many. Last year, 25 youth were placed in adoptive homes after being featured in the Heart Gallery. Through the Heart Gallery, children and teens waiting to be adopted have the opportunity to share their stories in their own words. Those stories can reach the right people, creating the connection that leads to loving families. 🌟

Welcome back to school! 🎒 As students head back to the classroom, hundreds of kids and teens connected with CPS have the school supplies they need, thanks to dozens of school supply drives across our community.

A big thank-you to the Frost For Good team from Frost for joining us in the Rainbow Room to pack backpacks for children heading back to school, and for stocking our shelves with all the other fun comforts for the kids and families we serve 🌈 💛

Meet Andrew, a twelve-year-old holding onto hope he'll be adopted.

Andrew is getting ready to enter the seventh grade. He's spent lots of time in the pool this Summer! Andrew loves to swim, he says it's a way he can feel relaxed. As he prepares for another year in middle school, Andrew says he doesn't want to grow up - he wants to stay a kid forever.

Andrew shared that he's unsure whether he'll be adopted while he's in middle school, knowing that finding an adoptive home becomes more difficult as a teen. Still, Andrew is holding onto hope that he'll be adopted by a kind and caring family, maybe even with a dog.

This week, more than 400 backpacks made their way to kids and teens getting ready for the new school year! 🎒🌈 Caseworkers visited the Travis & McLennan County Rainbow Rooms to pick up backpacks filled with school supplies from every child's list, plus fun extras like sweaters, headphones, water bottles, lunch boxes, and more to help make the school year a little brighter.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our partners who hosted drives, filled backpacks, and volunteered in the Rainbow Room, we'll provide back-to-school essentials to more than 1,000 students connected with CPS as the school year begins.

We're still receiving requests as the first day of school approaches. If you'd like to help, our most-needed items are always updated on our Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/309HE7SSLEAL5. 💙📚

Meet Karen, a fifteen-year-old dreaming of a bright future ahead.

Karen enjoys making meals for other children at her group home. They make their own meal of choice every Sunday. Karen has made some of her favorites: arroz con pollo, tres leches cake, and agua fresca.

Karen has big dreams beyond her love of cooking, all in service of others. She hopes to become a lawyer, saying she wants to be able to speak for others who are not being heard.

Karen's biggest dream is to find a family that cares. ❤️ To learn more about Karen and adoption, visit her Heart Gallery profile: https://partnershipsforchildren.org/heartgallery/karen/.
