3/29 2:30pm SAVE THE DATE! Apache Town Hall meeting with WCID17!

This is an important message from Travis County Water Control & Improvement District No. 17.
Dear Apache Shores Resident,

We have been in ongoing discussions with the Apache Shores POA and the Apache Shores Water Committee regarding the replacement of water lines in the community. We are grateful for the efforts of both the POA and Committee that have taken the lead in facilitating dialogue about this important project.

Since discussions first began, we have been able to make several updates to the Waterline Replacement Plan that has lowered the scope and therefore, the cost of the project. (Please see the attached Plan and FAQs).

To continue discussions with residents, WCID No. 17 invites the Apache Shores community to attend a Town Hall meeting on Saturday, March 29 from 2:30-4 pm at the Apache Shores Community Hall – 14919 General Williamson Dr.

We look forward to working together to identify the best path forward for Apache Shores. Our goal is to ensure reliable water service for residents and, above all, a safe and secure community.

Thank you,
WCID No. 17

@1/27. TONIGHT! 6:30pm City of Lakeway Government City Hall

KOLLMEYER DEVELOPMENT UPDATE: it passed a ZAPCO VOTE and is heading to Council! YOUR VOICE IS NEEDED.
Please come to the Lakeway City Council Meeting on 1/21 see group for details on how you can oppose this proposed development poised to impact traffic at Lake Travis Elementary tremendously.

An appeal by the immediate neighborhood residents:

Hello Lakeway neighbors –
If you oppose the over-development of Lakeway. If you oppose a Houston-based developer bringing a Houston-type development into our community. If you wouldn’t want 82 homes on 13 acres going in behind YOUR house. If you wouldn’t like your children’s school playground to be a construction zone for three years. If you believe Lakeway’s zoning ordinances are there for a reason and should be followed…then we need your support now.

I get that it’s easy to keep scrolling. But we have all done that in the past, and suddenly a giant new development is going up and we wonder how on earth did that get approved???

This is how. People don’t pay attention and people don’t show up.

Let’s not sleep on this one. Let’s not set a dangerous precedent for how development in Lakeway moves forward. Please take the time to email council members before Friday the 17th at noon. A sample email can be found in the comments below.
