Austell Community Taskforce

10/19/2026

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the South Cobb Candidate Forum!

Hosted in partnership by the Mableton Improvement Coalition, Cobb Collaborative, and the Austell Community Task Force, our goal was to provide a fair, respectful, and nonpartisan platform where voters could hear directly from candidates about the issues shaping our communities.

Hosting a multi-race forum requires balancing schedules, tight timeframes, and equal treatment for all participants. We are deeply appreciative of the candidates, representatives, moderator, volunteers, and venue staff who honored these standards and helped keep the focus on substantive community priorities.

Please see our full joint statement below.

As election season continues, we encourage every eligible neighbor to stay engaged, research the candidates, and make your voice heard at the ballot box.
