A scenic oasis in the Denver area offering a wide variety of water and land activities for outdoor enthusiasts. The 4,200-acre park and modern campground are open year-round. View birds and wildlife, recreate or relax with the majestic Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. The mission of Colorado Parks and Wildlife is to perpetuate the wildlife resources of the state, to provide a quality state parks system, and to provide enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities that educate and inspire current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado's natural resources.

Cherry Creek State Park West Boat Ramp closes today (09/07/26) at 9pm for the season.

The East Boat Ramp will remain open. From 09/07-09/11: 6am-9pm

Starting 09/12 the East Boat Ramp will be open:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7am-7pm.
Monday through Thursday from 8am-6pm.

As a reminder water levels are still very low and there are lots of unmarked hazards in the water. As always launch and load at your own risk.

Happy Labor Day!

A couple of things to to keep in mind if you're heading to the park for the holiday!

-Come early. Especially if you have a picnic area reservation.
-Peak times are generally from 1pm to 5 pm.
-Carpool if you can.
-Once the park reaches capacity, re-entry is not guaranteed if you leave the park (yes, even with a park pass already purchased).
-Capacity does not mean all of the parking spaces are filled. It is dictated by the safety concerns, staffing levels, resources for the day and protecting the natural resources.
-Campers be prepared to show your camping reservations at the gates for entry or avoid coming at peak times.
