Thanks to a summer at sports camp, Francesca came home with memories she'll never forget. Donations from our community made that possible.

Francesca is a joyful 9-year-old with Down syndrome who loves to chat, draw, and share her favorite toys. Her family wanted to give her every opportunity to grow, but faced financial barriers when it came to affording additional therapeutic experiences.

With support from Developmental Pathways, Francesca attended a week-long summer sports camp, where she spent time with other children with Down syndrome — biking, archery, rock climbing, and kayaking for the first time. Her siblings even joined as volunteers throughout the week.

The camp gave her a safe, encouraging space to build confidence, try new things, and develop important skills. It’s exactly the kind of life-changing opportunity your support makes possible.

Last Thursday, our team saddled up and rode over to Stampede for our spring staff appreciation event — Yeehaw for Y’all! The afternoon featured line dancing, games, treats, and giveaways, giving us a chance to celebrate our staff’s hard work.

A hearty tip of the hat to Homestyle Direct for sponsoring the event! Your generosity helped us honor the grit, heart, and teamwork that drive DP’s success. Thank you for helping treat our people to a rootin’ tootin’ good time.

Dust off your boots and saddle up with DP for our summer western and rodeo events! We’re calling on passionate volunteers to support our community:

- Iron Will Ranch Round Up (Elbert County): July 18
- Exceptional Rodeo (Arapahoe County Fair): July 24
- Unbridled Rodeo (Douglas County Fair & Rodeo): July 29

These events are vibrant, energetic, and full of fun! Volunteers will help with adaptive activities, guide participants, and create a welcoming, inclusive environment. Agency partners are encouraged to wear branded shirts and may provide a handout at the DP tent.

Speech therapy gave 4‑year‑old Harper a brighter future — and your support can do the same for families like hers.

Harper is a naturally curious child with a love for connecting with others. But early in life, she faced developmental delays that affected her movement and communication.
