Good Afternoon! The NWS Storm Prediction Center has expanded the severe weather risk outlook to now include ALL of Hamilton County in the slight risk category (2 of 5). The main timeframe for severe weather has been shortened to 4 PM - 8 PM. Main hazards include frequent lightning, strong wind gusts up to 70 MPH, and ping pong ball sized hail. Heavy localized rain and an isolated tornado cannot also be ruled out.

Make sure you have a severe weather safety plan, and multiple ways to receive severe weather information.

Good Monday! We'll see an increase in temperature today before another cold front passes through, bringing with it chances for thunderstorms later this afternoon into the evening. Partly cloudy today with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Winds out of the south at 15-20 MPH, gusting to 30 MPH.

Concerning potential severe weather. Some storms may become severe in nature. Our best time frame for seeing any severe weather is between 4 PM-11 PM. Hamilton County is currently in the marginal to slight category for severe weather (1 & 2 of 5). Potential hazards associated with these storms, should they become severe, include large hail and damaging wind gusts. Make sure you have ways to receive severe weather information.

A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CLAY...SOUTHWESTERN
YORK...NORTHWESTERN FILLMORE AND SOUTHEASTERN HAMILTON COUNTIES UNTIL 415 AM CDT...

At 346 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles west of Stockham, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sutton, Giltner, Saronville and Stockham.

A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN YORK...
NORTHEASTERN HAMILTON AND POLK COUNTIES UNTIL 1230 AM CDT...

At 1201 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from near Shelby to near Hordville, moving south at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
Stromsburg, Polk, Shelby, Hordville and Osceola around 1205 AM CDT.
Benedict around 1220 AM CDT.
Gresham and Hampton around 1225 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this strong thunderstorm include Thayer.
