🚦 DayBreak recently hit the road for an educational visit to the Kendall County Highway Department! The group had the opportunity to learn how traffic signals operate, explore road signs and how they’re made, check out highway vehicles and equipment, and gain insight into road construction and bridge engineering.

Thank you to the Kendall County Highway Department staff for taking the time to share your knowledge and give our group such an engaging behind-the-scenes experience. We appreciate your hospitality and the work you do to keep our communities moving safely!

We're so excited to recap the 2026 Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games! 🥁 Drumroll, please...

The FVSRA Stars brought home an incredible 93 MEDALS!

🥈 26 Silver
🥉 17 Bronze

The Summer Games bring together Special Olympics athletes from across Illinois who have qualified through regional competition, making this one of the most exciting and competitive events of the year.

Our athletes competed in Track & Field, Swimming, Co****le, and Powerlifting, showcasing months of hard work, dedication, and determination. Beyond the medals, they represented FVSRA with pride, sportsmanship, and teamwork throughout an unforgettable weekend.

🌟 A sendoff worthy of champions! This morning, the FVSRA Stars hit the road to Illinois State University for the 2026 Summer State Games.

A huge thank you to the Aurora Fire Department, Aurora Police Department, and Kane County Sheriff's Office for providing an incredible es**rt and helping send our athletes off in style!

Over the next three days, the FVSRA Stars will represent our community with pride as they compete at Summer State Games.

⛳️ This past Sunday, Caregiver Network families gathered for Mini Golf Morning at Stone Creek Miniature Golf Course in Geneva. Participants enjoyed a fun-filled morning of putting, laughing, and connecting with one another. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this hole-in-one event!

Our next Caregiver Network event is Caregiver at the Cove on Sunday, August 16th from 3:30–6:30pm at Otter Cove Aquatic Park. Take a break and make a splash with an evening of swimming, floating, and connecting with other caregivers in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. 🌊Learn more and RSVP at fvsra.org/caregiver-network
