These checks are conducted periodically to help prevent underage access to restricted products and to ensure businesses are following City of Aurora ordinances.

The following businesses were cited:

• Shell Gas Station – 1127 N. Eola Road (ni****ne)

In addition to these checks, SOG conducts proactive investigations and outreach focused on reducing violent crime, gang activity, illegal fi****ms, and narcotics throughout Aurora.

🚫 Just because it has wheels doesn’t mean it’s legal to ride on the street. 🚫

Spring is heating up — and with that comes a rise in complaints about golf carts, mini bikes, and off-road vehicles being driven where they shouldn’t be. 🚫

Under Aurora’s Off-Road Vehicle Ordinance (Section 27-129), vehicles like ATVs, off-highway motorcycles, and recreational off-highway vehicles are not street legal unless they meet very specific requirements—and most don’t. Operating one in the street, on sidewalks, in parks, or on someone else’s property without permission can lead to citations or towing. 🚫

• DUI laws apply
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Permits and visible identification are required for legal operation
• You need written permission for private property
• Sidewalks and school grounds are not fair game
• Del Webb subdivision roads and paths are privately owned and regulated by the HOA
• All are prohibited on Fox Valley Park District property

The ordinance is in place to protect you, your neighbors, and our streets. Whether you're cruising the neighborhood or cutting through a park—know the law before you ride. 🚫
