Well. Pillar Family, another Annual Training is in the books. This year our Alphas prioritized Maintenance, Professional Development, and Career Growth. SSG Martin hosted a multi day AFT NCOIC/OIC certification course. This course updated the formation of the new Army Fitness Test standards.
After emphasizing our units Physical Readiness. The Alphas moved to Operational Readiness. SGT Rife, SGT Onyeukwu, SPC Schlueter, and SPC Workman lead three days of courses, instructing the formation on Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) After this, the Alphas put tires to the road whith countless hours of drivers training. SFC Newton and SSG Mills conducted blocks of instruction on smaller equipment systems like Generators and Forklifts. SSG Jones, SGTs Chapman, Ledbetter and Harleman tested the formation on utilizing the Palletized Loading System.
After equipment training CPT Fitch and SPC Roper navigated the Alphas back to basics with an in depth Land Navigation Course prior to conducting Land Navigation at Camp Crowder. The Alphas took a much needed break from the heat by conducting various classes and basic Soldier Tasks, such as hygiene, education benefits, hand signaling, and safety.
Our 92As conducted several days of MOS Training. SSG Martin conducted blocks of instruction on GCSS-Army, prior to the 92As traveling to the AVCRAD for Wearehouse Training.
This Annual Training, the Alphas worked hard and trained hard. But. They also played hard. The Unit held an MWR float trip for some much needed time to destress and build camaraderie. On the team building side. The SFRG hosted a Lazer Tag event for the Soldiers to have a little fun while practicing strategizing and reacting to fire.
The Alphas came to AT 2025 ready to work and ready to succeed, and they did just that. Thank you to everyone for making Annual Training a success!
