🚨 URGENT: A dear long-time family friend of ours, Moaid Laymoun, is in critical need of a stem cell donor to survive. Moaid, a beloved Palestinian father and respected community leader in California, has been diagnosed with a serious blood cancer and needs a stem cell transplant by the end of the summer to have the best chance at survival.

🌍 Because matches are based on genetics, his best chance is with someone of Arab descent, ages 18–40 both males and females.

Even if you are not a match you will be in the national database for other middle eastern Arabs who may have similar situation.

We’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for CVA — our very first university graduate from our high school program: Imane Benabas! Mashallah, she completed two bachelor’s degrees in just three years and is now preparing for medical school. We couldn’t be more proud of her incredible accomplishments!

We’re so proud of Amir Childs, who graduated from 8th grade at CVA back in May 2017! He transitioned to public school the year before we launched our high school program — and now, mashallah, he’s graduating this year! Fun fact: his mom was also a beloved teacher at CVA. Wishing Amir continued success on his journey!

12 years ago I started a life-changing journey when I joined as Principal at Crescent View Academy in Aurora, Colorado. When I left California, there were so many unknowns about my career move. Alhamdulilah, 12 years later, I helped facilitate the growth of the Rocky Mountains only accredited preschool-12th grade private Islamic school. CVA is now 3 campuses large ( 67,000 sq. ft.) 550 students, 70 employees and 13 huffaz. We build the Boris Shamanov Masjid, Z-Family Kitchen and Zukhra Udenova Dining Hall. We purchased a school van and truck! Success is a collaborative effort and I extend my warmest gratitude to the board of directors pasts and present, alumni and current and former employees. Without everyone’s effort and support I couldn’t have facilitated a success model for all communities in North America. May Allah reward everyone who keeps supporting our beloved school!
