Metea Waubonsie Women's Lacrosse Club

Metea Waubonsie Women's Lacrosse Club To Provide a competitive lacrosse team for the students of Metea and Waubonsie. All fees are non-refundable for dismissal.

The organization’s name is Tribe Women’s Lacrosse, serving as the competitive lacrosse experience available to students attending Metea Valley and Waubonsie Valley High Schools in the Indian Prairie School District 204. Purpose

The purpose of Tribe Women’s Lacrosse is to provide a highly competitive high school lacrosse program while creating student-athletes with respect to their individual skil

ls, attitude and personal development in the classroom and on the field. Specifically:
*Coach the proper rules and skills of lacrosse
*Promote and develop a complete student-athlete in leadership, citizenship and sportsmanship
*Organize and develop a competitive program for our student-athletes

Student Athlete Roles and Responsibilities

This organization is funded and run by parents for our student-athletes and for the benefit of our student-athletes’ high school competitive lacrosse experience. Student-athletes must conduct themselves on and off the field with respect for others and maintain good sportsmanship. Additionally, student-athletes and their parents are required to maintain eligibility in regard to IHSA rules and regulations pertaining to student-athletes. Any unexcused absences from any team event or any abusive language and/or other disruptive behaviour may result in dismissal of a student-athlete from the team. The Board at its sole discretion may approve such dismissal of a student-athlete as necessary. The Board shall provide notification of approved action to parent/guardian in a timely manner. As long as Tribe has more than 1 team, student-athletes interested in playing on the Varsity team must attend the available tryouts. The head coach and staff with board approval will develop the procedure for tryouts. Any student wishing to play on a Tribe team and does not attend tryouts may be assigned to a team by the coaching staff. If an eligible student is trying out for another IHSA high school sponsored team and is unable to make practice, the student will have 1 week and 1 day after announcement of the high school sponsored team to pay the dues and participate in lacrosse.
