On May 12, 2026 - The City of Aurora AANHPI Advisory Board was Honored to receive a Proclamation from the City of Aurora recognizing May as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

A heartfelt thank you to Mayor John Laesch and the City of Aurora for this meaningful recognition and for continuing to support and celebrate the diverse voices, cultures, and contributions within our AANHPI community.

This moment represents so much more than a proclamation — it reflects the stories, resilience, traditions, businesses, families, and future generations that continue to shape and strengthen our city every day.

Grateful to stand alongside our amazing AANHPI Advisory Board members and Community Leaders who continue to create spaces for connection, representation, and impact. 💛

Last night, the Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Heritage Advisory Board for the City of Aurora came together for our meeting and what an incredible evening it was!

We were honored to have amazing guest speakers who shared their voices, stories, and insight with our community. Your presence truly made the night impactful and meaningful.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who attended and continues to support our mission of unity, representation, and cultural celebration.

To our dedicated board members, your commitment and service do not go unnoticed. You are the driving force behind the work we do, and we appreciate each of you!
