Today, Colonel Sabb and Lt. Meyers proudly represented the Richmond County Marshal’s Office at the CSRA Elder Rights Conference held at the Columbia County Exhibition Center.

The conference brought together public safety professionals, community leaders, advocates, and service providers from across the region to discuss issues impacting older adults and to promote awareness of resources available to protect and support our senior citizens.

RCMO is proud to support efforts that promote elder rights, safety, and education throughout the CSRA.

Yesterday, the Richmond County Marshal’s Office collaborated with Code Enforcement on a countywide sign sweep following the election, removing campaign signs that were placed within the public right-of-way.

Per City of Augusta and State of Georgia regulations, campaign signs are not permitted in the right-of-way and must be placed outside of the ROW. Signs collected during the sweep will be stored for candidates in the event of a run-off election and can be picked up from the designated substation. Any remaining signs not claimed by the candidate will be disposed of.

We appreciate the cooperation of our candidates, residents, and community partners as we work together to keep Augusta’s roadways clear, safe, and clean.
