Formation! This week’s Wildlife Recruit Report features: North American Beaver 🪖🦫

📝 After Action Report: This recruit was observed conducting unauthorized engineer operations along the perimeter fence. Known for building dams, modifying terrain, and improving water obstacles, beavers have clearly mastered field fortifications. No tools issued — just determination and a lot of chewing.

Wildlife Recruit Report features a Sandhill Crane spotted moving through the training areas at Fort Custer.

📝 After Action Report: With winter conditions beginning to break and thaw lines opening across the training areas, this element has resumed normal operations—utilizing open terrain for feeding and maintaining distance from high-traffic areas. No disturbance noted… this bird continues to operate with high situational awareness and adaptability to shifting seasonal conditions.

A reminder that even during transitional seasons, wildlife remains an active part of the training environment.

From all of us at Fort Custer, stay safe and stay observant. 🦩
