ABOUT US:
On April 6, 2024, with inspiration from our wonderful featured speakers Governor Janet Mills and House Speaker Rep. Rachel Talbot Ross , over 50 women from throughout Maine gathered to form the Maine Federation of Democratic Women - Empowering Women Across Maine and became members of our federation, as we became a charter state member of the National Federation of Democratic Women (here is their link: National Federation of Democratic Women (nfdw.com)).
OBJECTIVES AND GOALS:
To engage women to participate in the Democratic Party and to vote Democratic
To encourage and support Democratic women to seek public office
To assist in organizing and maintaining active Democratic women's organizations
at the state and county levels
To initiate and carry out programs, projects and activities on behalf of the
Democratic Party and to promote the election of Democrats
To enable Maine's Democratic women to meet and learn from Democratic
women across the country and take advantage of national resources and
leadership opportunities
To provide a readily available resource for immediate actions items and for
projects and initiatives and candidate support
To provide a place for Democratic women to gather, network and find support.
