⚠️ Temporary Closure Notice – Richmond County Health Department (Laney Walker Location) ⚠️

Due to a prolonged power outage, the Richmond County Health Department – Laney Walker location will be closed Monday and Tuesday, July 13–14, while repairs are being made.

Patients needing services during this time will be seen at our South Augusta Health Center:

The Richmond County Health Department Laney Walker location had to close early today due to power outage. we should resume services Monday morning, July 13. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Weather Update: Closures & Delayed Openings

Due to weather conditions, the following county health departments will be CLOSED on Monday, January 26, 2026:

• Wilkes County
• Warren County
• Glascock County
• Lincoln County
• Taliaferro County
• McDuffie County
• Jefferson County

The following locations will have a DELAYED OPENING on Monday, January 26, opening at 10:00 AM:

• Laney Walker Health Department
• South Augusta Health Department
• Columbia County Health Department
• District Offices

Taliaferro County Health Department will have a DELAYED OPENING on Tuesday, January 27, opening at 10:00 AM.

Georgia DPH confirms a measles case in a baby infected during international travel (Coastal Health District). Measles can linger in the air up to 2 hours. Symptoms: fever/cough/runny nose/watery eyes → rash. Call ahead before seeking care.
