Due to expected inclement weather, the All White Party Finale of the 2026 Candlelight Music Series has been postponed to Sunday, September 13.

We know many of you were looking forward to celebrating the end of the series with us, and we are too. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the evening safely and comfortably, so moving the event to next Sunday is the best choice.

The good news: the party is still on! Wear your favorite white attire, bring your chairs and picnic baskets, and join us for live music from ChaVonne Campbell & Tresounds at the Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds.

In observance of Labor Day, many offices of Augusta, Georgia, will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026. Below is a list of operating hours for key services:

Augusta Municipal Building: The Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026. The facility will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, during normal business hours.

Augusta 311: Augusta 311 will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Environmental Services: The landfill will not operate on Monday, September 7, 2026. Coastal Waste and Recycling garbage collection operations will run on a 1-day delay in service (example: Tues picked up Wed, Wed on Thurs, etc.), with Friday picked up on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Augusta Transit: Fixed routes, ADA, and rural transit services will not operate on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Animal Services: Animal Services will not operate on Monday, September 7, 2026.
For emergencies, please call 706-821-1080.

Augusta Utilities: All Augusta Utilities offices, including both Customer Service locations, will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026. If there is an emergency not related to billing, call 706-842-3060.

Recreation and Parks: All Augusta Recreation and Parks offices and facilities will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026, except Newman Tennis Center, which will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parks, including park amenities, will remain open during regular hours.

Offices and services that are closed for the Labor Day holiday will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Temporary Facility Closure: Wednesday, Aug. 26

All Augusta Recreation and Parks facilities and community centers will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, for department-wide staff development.

Facilities will reopen at 1:30 p.m.

Eastview Community Center is currently experiencing an outage affecting its phone and computer services. Our team is working to restore service as quickly as possible.

Just a reminder: The Augusta Aquatics Center is currently closed for maintenance and will reopen at 2:00 PM today.
