The Richmond County Board of Elections office was established in 1973. Our objectives include:
◦Maintaining an accurate voter registration list for Richmond County
◦Conducting fair and legal elections
◦Ensuring that all eligible citizens are given an opportunity to register to vote, to cast a ballot, and to have their ballot accurately counted
◦Promoting public confidence by conducting elections in an efficient and transparent manner

Pursuant to 21-2-283.1(d) Candidates appearing on the ballot proof shall have 24 hours from the time that the superintendent makes ballot proofs available for review to verify that the candidate’s name, other identifying information such as party or incumbency, and other relevant information are properly displayed on the ballot and to request changes to be made by the superintendent.

Proofs will be available at the Board of Elections office 535 Telfair Street, Suite 500, Augusta,GA 30901 until Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 5PM.
