Our next Augusta Area Men’s Shed will be held on Wednesday, June 10th from 10:00 – 11:00am.

June’s topic will be The Game of Kubb.

Did you know Eau Claire is the official Kubb Capital of North America? Join us and hear from Eric Anderson, Director of the U.S. National Kubb Championship about the history of the game and learn how to play. To learn more about Kubb, visit: www.usakubb.org

Estate Yard Sale at the corner of W. Washington & Chippewa (across from the Augusta Senior Center Parking Lot).

All proceeds from the sale will support the Augusta Senior Center. (In memory of Lorriane Schluter, a dear friend of the Senior Center)

The sale will take place:

Thursday, May 28 — 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, May 29 — 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 30 — until noon

Shoppers will find a wide variety of items including antiques, patio furniture, home décor, kitchenware, dishes, glassware, lamps, blankets, school and desk supplies, tools, linens, clothes, crystal, small appliances, and many other treasures.

On Wednesday this week we held our very first Augusta Area Men’s Shed! And wow, did we have a full room – 31 men from around the area including men even from Eau Claire and Cadott joined us! Thank you to Bush Brothers & Company for coming to speak and share the history of the company, along with trivia and bean prizes. The room was filled with sharing stories working at Bush’s, laughter, and a space to connect with one another. We look forward to our next Shed on June 10th – all are welcome.

We are so grateful for all the community members who stopped by to connect with local organizations and learn about available resources.

A special thank you to AARP Chapter 3768 for hosting the barbecue luncheon fundraiser. It was a wonderful day filled with community, connection, and support 🎉
