Yesterday afternoon, the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University celebrated a major milestone: the grand opening of the Cyber Resiliency Center (CRC)!

The afternoon brought together AU leadership, community partners, students, and guests to officially open the doors to a resource that will protect vital organizations across Georgia, including rural healthcare facilities, local governments, school districts, and small manufacturers.

The CRC operates with an 80% student workforce, pairing student talent with professional expertise!

Remarks from AU President Dr. Russell Keen, James Allen of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce on the economic and academic impact of the center. Eric Toler, Executive Director of the Georgia Cyber Center and Samantha Banister, Student Team Lead at the CRC helped tell the story of how we got here and where we're headed next.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by guided tours of the new CRC space.

A packed house yesterday at TechNet Augusta for our panel, "Winning Before Q-Day: Preparing the Force for the Post-Quantum Battlespace"

Moderated by our Executive Director, Eric Toler, this session brought together leading minds across defense, academia, research, and industry to examine why post-quantum cryptography is vital for tomorrow’s readiness.

Big developments shared right here in Augusta at TechNet!

U.S. Army Cyber Command has unveiled Task Force Lexington, a dedicated initiative creating AI agents to assist analysts and hunt threats across U.S. Department of War networks. As LTG Christopher Eubank highlighted, these agents are designed to augment the workforce and operate at machine speed while maintaining strict human-led guardrails.

We are hiring an Administrative Assistant 3 to provide high-level support to the Executive Director at the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University in downtown Augusta.

This is a great opportunity to bring your administrative experience to a supportive, fast-paced environment at the intersection of higher education, government, and cyber defense.

Key Responsibilities:
- Executive scheduling, travel arrangement, and administrative support for the Executive Director
- Managing documentation and tracking strategic goals across departments
- Assisting with HR functions, recruitment scheduling, and SkillBridge intern onboarding

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED + 8 years of admin experience
or Associate's Degree + 5 years
or Bachelor's Degree + 2 years
- Strong organizational, communication, and executive office skills
- Experience with Airtable
- Knowledge of HR processes is a plus
