Harrisburg-West End Anti-Poverty Center for Social Justice

Harrisburg-West End Anti-Poverty Center for Social Justice We believe that everyone, regardless of financial resources or past, deserves to have a voice in the community they live in.

The Harrisburg West-End Anti-poverty Center for Social Justice is directed at helping individuals and families living below that national poverty level with the Historic Harrisburg West End community. We work in partnership with local healthcare providers and community organizations to help individuals affected with poverty and social injustice. We believe that everyone, regardless of financial re

sources or past history, deserves to have a voice. We work in partnership with other organizations to help promote public policies which address the needs of low-income and other vulnerable populations. Our organization is driven by the ethical standards of the Nataional Association of Social Workers (NASW). Our primary purpose is to enhance human dignity of all people, with attention to the empowerment of individuals who are oppressed and vulnerable. We seek a just society where the basic human needs of all individuals living within the Harrisburg-West End community are net, and where children can grow u healthy, with opportunities for high quality education and the tools to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
