Good morning, fellow operators!

Just a quick reminder that tonight is our September meeting at 7pm at the Haddon Twp. Library at 15 MacArthur Blvd., Haddon Twp., NJ 08108. Tonight's discussion is about APRS. If anyone wants to bring their APRS gear and/or laptop to follow along, you're welcome to do so.

Our testing team is also expected to be onsite, so if you're looking to test, you can. Please drop us an email at [email protected] if you plan to join us.

Good morning, fellow operators! A few reminders from the Radio Operators of Camden County (formerly the AARC).

1st note: Don't forget to that tonight is our Tuesday evening net at 7:30pm. This week the net will be hosted by Becca KD2ORS.

2nd note: Our next meeting, Wed. Sept 10 at 7pm, will be at the Haddon Township library. The library has a large meeting room with a great AV system. The topic of presentation and discussion is APRS. We'll touch upon our support of the Camden County RACES Winslow Fireworks deployment and Fred N2KDX will dive into technical aspects, low-cost ways to start using APRS, and some of the neat features available with this technology.

We also expect to have license testing that evening as well. If you or someone you know is looking to take their amateur radio license test, please reach us at [email protected] and we'll get you set up.

Our meetings are open to the public so please join us whether you're a ROCC member or not!

Thank you and hope to see you there!

Good morning, fellow operators:

We are pleased to report that the borough of North Wildwood has graciously reserved the gazebo at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse for our group for August 16 and 17 for International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend!

I'm sure we will discuss this a little deeper on tonight's K2AUD Tuesday evening net on the WA2WUN repeater (147.225 +600KHz PL192.8).

Keep an eye out on the Radio Operators of Camden County Facebook for further details.

Thank you,

Don, N2SPW

Field Day is here! After keeping a wary eye on the weather, Radio Operators of Camden County will be operating as 3A at Green Acres in Runnemede, NJ (also known as David Venella Memorial Park).

Stop by Saturday after 2pm and check out our operations. Our main station will be in the grove of trees adjacent to the tennis and basketball courts.

To our fellow operators participating in Field Day, good luck!

Good evening, fellow operators:

Please forgive the late reminder for Tuesday evening's meeting. This meeting is open to all amateur operators.

This meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, at 7pm at the William G. Rohrer Memorial Library Haddon Township Branch 15 MacArthur Boulevard, Haddon Twp., NJ 08108.

Please note that to be eligible to vote, your dues must be paid by the start of the April meeting. Dues can be paid at the meeting.

My experiences getting started with JS8Call is our discussion topic. We expect to have an antenna for a live demonstration (if everything works 😁).

We will hold officer elections but that shouldn't take much time.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Don, N2SPW

Good evening, friends and fellow operators:

Just a quick note that you are invited to join us at the next meeting of the Radio Operators of Camden County which will be held in a new location this month.

Wednesday, March 19 at 7pm
Haddon Township branch of the Camden County Library
15 MacArthur Boulevard
Westmont, NJ 08108

As is our practice, we hold business to the first 20 minutes and then devote the remainder of the meeting time to the topic of the evening. Our primary business at this meeting is for officer elections.

Our discussion this month will be on JS8Call and my trials and tribulations in learning this weak signal mode.

If you plan to join us, please drop us a quick note to [email protected].

Thank you,

Don, N2SPW

Greetings, fellow operators!

AARC has changed our name to the Radio Operators of Camden County to reflect our county-wide membership.

In the short-term, we'll post to both accounts until we've transitioned all of our content to the new page.

We will post updates for our March 19 meeting shortly.

Thank you!
