The Audubon Park Police Department invites all residents to come celebrate 250 Years of American Freedom at our annual Night Parade on Thursday, July 2, 2026!

This is a great opportunity to celebrate our nation’s history, show your community spirit, and spend an evening with family, friends, and neighbors.

🚨 PSA: Please use caution around the Dogwood tree that’s been placed in the center of Audubon Parkway. It’s only there to help bring attention to the upcoming Dogwood Festival on April 24th from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM at Wren Park! Bring your friends and family — it’s going to be a great time! 🌸

The tree will be taken down right after the festival.

This April Fools post however, will remain up due to Open Records law 😁

Today, Detective Davis proudly assisted the U.S. G.I. Military Vehicle & History Group in replacing the largest flag in Kentucky on Gardiner Lane. 🇺🇸

This incredible display is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our service members and the importance of honoring our nation’s history. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support such a meaningful effort in our community. 🫡

❄️ Winter Storm Reminder – Stay Safe, Audubon Park ❄️

A winter storm is impacting our area this weekend. Once snow begins to fall, please avoid driving if at all possible. Roads may become hazardous quickly, and staying off them helps keep everyone safer.

⚡ Power Outages:
If you experience a power outage, please report it directly to LG&E so crews can respond as quickly as possible.

👮 Police Coverage:
As always, Audubon Park Police officers will be working 24 hours a day throughout the storm and are ready to respond as needed.

🚧 Public Works:
The roads will be assessed continuously to determine when to plow and apply salt most efficiently and effectively.

Please take precautions, check on neighbors if you’re able, and stay safe and warm. We appreciate everyone doing their part to help keep our community safe. 🚔❄️

WEEKEND SNOW UPDATE: Significant snow becoming more likely, especially late Saturday through Sunday. Not a bad idea to be thinking about winter storm preparations. GFS trending farther north more in line with the EURO.

🚨 NEW GOLF CART ORDINANCE – KNOW THE RULES 🚨

The City has passed an ordinance allowing golf carts to be operated on approved City streets (speed limits of 35 mph or less). While this is an exciting new option for residents, it’s important to remember that golf carts on the roadway must follow Kentucky traffic laws under KRS Chapter 189.

That means:
✅ Drivers must have a valid driver’s license in their possession
✅ Drivers must carry proof of insurance for the golf cart
✅ Seat belts, child restraint systems, and booster seats are required
✅ You must stop at stop signs and obey all traffic signals
✅ Turn signals must be used
🚫 Open alcoholic beverage containers are prohibited
🚫 Operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs is illegal
🚫 Unlawful operation is prohibited – parents cannot allow children without a valid operator’s license to drive a golf cart on City streets

⚠️ Golf cart drivers are subject to the same rules, responsibilities, and penalties as any other motorist.

Our officers will be out to help educate drivers as this ordinance goes into effect. Please drive safe, follow the law, and help us keep our community safe.
